Sport Makers Convention
Are you aged 16+ and interested in volunteering/already volunteering within your local sports club or community group? This might simply be through co-ordinating the coaching, or within a committee role, or even making the tea! Every activity is extremely important, and invaluable to your local sports club.
Sport North Tyneside are offering all sports clubs and community groups the opportunity to take part in a nationally recognised “Sports Makers” convention for FREE! After a very successful Sport Makers Convention in November, Sport North Tyneside will be hosting another convention on Thursday 23 February 2012.
The Sport Makers 3 hour workshop will enable participants to learn about the Olympic and Paralympic Games, it’s values, and what being a sports volunteer means to your local community.
In return, volunteers can expect:
• A Sports Makers Adidas branded t-shirt
• A Sports Makers Adidas branded water bottle
• A certificate of attendance
• The opportunity to be entered into spot prize draws to win Olympic and Paralympic tickets, (both London and St James’ Park based)
• Opportunity to meet an Olympic and/or Paralympic Champions
