Whitley Bay and Tynemouth Hockey Club have just completed one of thier most successful seasons with all teams performing beyond expectations.

The Men's First Team achieved promotion to Division One of the North League in fine style. They were unbeaten and scored a league record 116 goals and conceded only 31 in the twenty games played.

The Men's Second Team finished a credible third in their league, missing promotion by a mere six points.

The Men's Third Team put together a seven match unbeaten run in the middle of their season and reached the semi-final of the North East Hockey League Conference Cup.

The Ladies Section also had more than their fair share of success. The First Team were contenders for promotion right up to the end of the season when they finally finished in third place. The Second Team went one better by finishing second as did the Ladies third team.

There is strength in depth throughout the club and supported by a thriving Junior Section, future success is ensured.
