North Tyneside 10k Road Race

The six-and-a-half mile run is organised by North Tyneside Council in partnership with Start Fitness and North Shields Polytechnic, and is supported by Hadrian Spring Water who will be providing refreshments throughout the race.
North Tyneside 10k Road Race takes place on Easter Sunday 24 April 2011, starts at The Parks Sports Centre in North Shields at 10am, taking in the Fish Quay, Tynemouth Priory and Castle, before finishing at St Mary's Lighthouse.
Runners travel from all over the country to compete in the event, a contender for one of the UK's most scenic road races, which sees elite athletes and field runners tackling the tough coastal course.

Participants must be aged over-15, with an entry fee of £14 for UK Athletics Club members, with non-club members paying £16.
There is a range of prizes, both for individuals and teams, with each runner receiving a goody bag.
