Following the success of last May's event, families will once again get free entry into two North Tyneside Council swimming pools this Bank Holiday Monday.
On Monday 31 August, both the Tynemouth Pool and the Lakeside Centre in Killingworth will be offering residents access to their facilities free of charge.
Four hundred and seventy people took up the offer of the free family swimming sessions held at the venues on 25 May.
Cllr Glynis Barrie, Cabinet Member for Community Services, said: "This is a great opportunity for the people of North Tyneside to experience some of the fantastic facilities we have in the borough.
"Various activities will be available, including general swimming and diving sessions, and hopefully the scheme will help promote the fact that swimming is such a fun way to keep fit and healthy."
The initiative forms part of North Tyneside's Year of Sport and is in partnership with Kellogg's Swim Active and the Amateur Swimming Association.
The Tynemouth Pool will be open between 8.30am to 2.30pm (last admission 1.45pm), whilst the Lakeside Centre will be open between 9am and 4pm.
North Tyneside Council already offers free swimming at any public swimming session to people aged over-60 and free swims to children under-17 at certain times of the day each week.
