The 2011 annual Sport North Tyneside Awards will be held on March 24, 2011. Hosted by Roger Tames at North Tyneside Council’s headquarters, the awards have been created to celebrate the sporting achievements of individuals and clubs across North Tyneside.

Nominations will be accepted between September 30, 2010 and January 31, 2011.

If you know an individual or a team who is involved in sport in anyway and they deserve regonition for their performance or involvment, then nomiate them for a Sport North Tyneside Award.

Award Categories:

Sports Personality 
To recognise the sporting achievements of an individual over the age of 18 years (on December 31, 2010)

Disabled Sports Personality
  
To recognise the sporting achievements of an individual over the age of 18 years (on December 31, 2010)

Junior Sports Personality    
To recognise the sporting achievements of an individual under the age of 18 years (on December 31, 2010)

Junior Disabled Sports Personality    
To recognise the sporting achievements of an individual under the age of 18 years (on December 31, 2010)

Senior Team    
To recognise success achieved by any North Tyneside based team over the age of 18 years (on December 31, 2010) including local, county, regional and national level achievements

Junior Team    
To recognise success achieved by any North Tyneside based team under the age of 18 years (on December 31, 2010) including local, county, regional and national level achievements

Senior Sports Volunteer    
To recognise an individual or group of people over the age of 18 years (on December 31, 2010) who have dedicated time, commitment and effort on a voluntary basis to a club, group or project to benefit the local community

Junior Sports Volunteer    
To recognise an individual or group of people over the under of 18 years (on December 31, 2010) who have dedicated time, commitment and effort on a voluntary basis to a club, group or project to benefit the local community

Sports Coach    
To recognise a qualified coach who has supported the development of sport in the local community

Services to Sport    
To recognise the lifetime contribution an individual has made to their club, sport or organisation

Sports Development    
To recognise a group, club or organisation who has made a significant contribution to developing their sport within North Tyneside during 2010

Contribution to Sport Development    
To recognise an individual, group, club or organisation who has made a significant contribution to developing their sport within North Tyneside during 2010
